Summary:
The Senior Project Manager provides overall project planning, execution, administrative, and technical direction to lead the project management team and ensure that all projects are managed and processed following corporate guidelines. This position requires an experienced construction professional who will teach and mold the project management team to expand the department's capacity and efficiency.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and guidance to the project management team so that all project budgets are updated accurately weekly and monthly.
- Collaborate with the Division Manager and Operations Manager regularly to discuss the financial impact of budget updates.
- Strategize with Division leadership to develop essential project management initiatives that will be a part of the Divisional Quarterly Plan and enhance the department’s productivity.
- Ensure that all change orders submitted by the project management team have proper documentation and explanations completed before submitting them to the client.
- Provide exemplary customer service examples for the project management team when working with clients and addressing difficult circumstances during projects.
- Identify and cultivate key vendor and subcontractor relationships to build strategic alliances and maximize vendor buyout savings.
- Evaluate the division's Accounts Receivable position and ensure all clients pay open invoices according to contract terms.
- Continually recruit and identify potential candidates for open and upcoming positions by maintaining a virtual bench.
- Establish leadership roles in local industry organizations to expand Kent’s market awareness and client relationships.

Required Experience, Education, and Qualifications
- Five to 10+ years of experience managing projects and concrete scopes as a sub-contractor or self-performing general contractor.
- Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or business.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presenting advice clearly and concisely.
- Ability and willingness to solve challenges through innovation; work with minimal direction and supervision; proactive, not reactive.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency and Microsoft Project/Scheduling proficiency.
- Strong financial skills and budget experience are required.
- Be entrepreneurial and find practical solutions to problems and questions.
- Be able and willing to travel locally.
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have reliable transportation to the workplace(s)/ job location(s).
- Ability to pass drug screening.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

Work Environment/Physical Demand
This position works in an office environment and occasionally travels to the field to supervise projects as required. This position requires long periods of sitting.

This is a full-time office position. Typical hours will range from 45-50 hours per week and are subject to change. This role requires working nontypical days and irregular hours based on construction schedules. Due to the critical nature of the role, accepting phone calls even during nontypical workdays and hours is also necessary. Travel may occur from time to time.
